Need Exercise? Play The Wii
Xbox and electronic games in the past have been a snag. Kids and youth would spend hours sitting on the sofa in front of the TV. There’s nothing wrong with playing video games as long as it doesn’t interfere with your routine. Just be sure that video games don’t overtake doing things with relatives, playing sports, completing assignments, reading, distance learning and getting everyday jobs done. Nintendo shouldn’t be an issue as long as your playing time doesn’t get out of control. Everything in moderation.
It’s only when someone spends all of their spare time playing, that you might start to worry. As long as these children, teens, and adults are balancing their lives Nintendo can offer a little diversion. But if they are wasting a lot of their time in front of the TV and not getting exercise then that is a serious problem.
Fortunately though the Nintendo Wii makes kids be energetic. Instead of sitting on the sofa they have to get up and move and jump. The interactive game has given kids an activity that requires exercise without being mind-numbing or feeling like a workout. A new study has shown that kids may be in good health now because Wii sports games and the fit series increases energy expenditure as much as a moderate intensity work out.
Instead of kids being forced off the couch by their guardians to allegedly get some fresh air and exercise which usually doesn’t end up happening, they can play games and stay in shape. These workouts won’t be as intense as jogging or playing a live sport, but at least it gets them moving.
The study funded by Nintendo found that one-third of games and activities in the sports and fit packages meet the rules for moderately intense exercise. Some of these games may even help you decrease your risk of cardiovascular diseases. By using the Wii you can get some additional exercise in, but it shouldn’t be your only source of exercise.
Although if you want to know about the best Wii exercises the best one is the single-arm stand presented in Wii fit. Other great options consist of the boxing game, tennis, and baseball. Other sports games also provide exercise but not golf. There are many entertaining games Wii offers that are both fun and give you a good workout. And currently Wii, is also working on games that also require higher levels of physical activity. Despite their efforts, Nintendo game makers are currently calling on other competitors to develop more energetic entertainment.
These video games are helping battle against the growing obesity epidemic in the U.S. and other parts of the world. Game makers are trying to augment physical activity in their games. While the Wii shouldn’t be considered your work out, it offers gamers at least some form of exercise. And in this country when it comes to exercise anything is better than nothing.
